Bittersweet Spring

Sadly, we had to put our well-worn and much loved beagle Bella to sleep this weekend.  She had been a wonderful part of our family (and permanent lump on our couch) for the past 7 1/2 years, and it was certainly hard to let her go.  It has been a little strange around our house without her, but we are so happy to have such a catalog of wonderful and hilarious memories to treasure.

We miss you Bella!

Any way, life moves on...

First day wearing my sun hat, it was 70 degrees today.

Magic Wings

Last weekend we went to see the butterflies at Magic Wings in Deerfield.

We all had a great time!

Emmett loved just sitting on the ground and looking at all of the butterflies!

Emmett especially like standing in the gazebo and looking around.

Between the Sheets

We just started teaching Emmett how to put himself to sleep.  And I'm happy to say that last night, only the second night of our sleep training, he promptly fell asleep on his own and didn't wake up crying the whole night!

I like sleeping!
